URBAN CONTEXT STUDY
Graz is the second biggest city in Austira, which is also a UNESCO heritage city. But the surrounding new
urban areas have no clear identity and is spreading under no instructional planning. This site is one of the
three forgotten areas of Graz, where contains many factories and suburban houses. "Smart City" is the new strategy to support its sustainbale development.
What is "Forgotten area"?
They are the urban areas where:
1. Near urban periphery
2. No planning or urban design
3. Contrast to the heritage center
4. No residents got the image or memory
